It is widely known as the ideal material for marine applications because it has excellent resistance to corrosion as well as good appearance, stability, durability, lustre, strength, and stiffness.

Marine environments are very demanding, with factors like water flow rates, high salt content, pressure, and temperature all coming into play together.
